8/27 Craig's Where to Ride

Grantsville looks to have AM wind in the 6/12M range until Noon. Then look for DC to have
pretty good 7/14M conditions from 1 until 6 PM. Sulfur Creek with gusty 7/14M conditions Noon until 5.

Tomorrow, Sulfur Creek looks like the best call for 8/16 PM but there's a chance for a couple of hours at
DC in the 8/16 range early afternoon.

Monday does not look windy.

p.s. (for Cody) Grantsville typically blows from the South in the AM when:
a. in Spring the upper atmosphere is Southerly
b. in Summer and Fall there is an approaching front (or even a short wave)
c. there is a cloud with moisture in it wedged in the opening to the Rush valley at the GSL end (this is typically really gusty wind)
d. The PC104 Grantsville South weather station https://mesowest.utah.edu/cgi-bin/droma ... ?stn=PC104 is reading 15+ mph
PC104 isn't as good as the old station that used to broadcast from the reservoir, but it's pretty close.

Usually dead by 11 AM, it can work until Noon with more than 1 of the above factors going for it. Under a strong pressure drop
like a strong approaching Spring storm it will blow pretty solid in the AM, then die off, and then come back lighter and gustier in the later PM.
Prevailing North surface winds just don't seem to be able to get in there.
