Hi Emily,
It might help us if you were a little more explicit.
Tell us a little about yourself. First of all are you
a Kite Surfer, or a Windsurfer. Then describe your abilities.

Until we can recommend more intelligently ,
Let me recommend the "local sites" tab above in the main header.
That might get you started.

-Craig

Hi Emily,

Let me try this a different way. You are a Windsurfer, and you would like to turn Pro?
Here are a few questions for you.

While windsurfing have you:

planed off?
used a harness?
used footstraps?
waterstarted?
jumped?
planed through a jibe?
looped?
ridden waves?

What kind of gear (boards and sails) do you currently have?

George Ward (a local) has a daughter (Tiffany Ward) who is a professional, so he probably has some insight
on turning professional.
Josh Shirley (Western US Starboard Rep) also lives here, and might have some insight.

You could try PMing either or both of them and see if they respond.

If you're just looking to find out about launches, probably the easiest and safest launch in the Area is
Lincoln Beach on the South end of Utah lake with a typical North wind. It is shallow for a long way out, and the wind blows you
back onto the beach. It is mostly a Kite Boarder area however, so if you're looking for Windsurfing company,
your best bet locally is probably to head up to DeerCreek on a late May Thermal (watch for a good 7.5
day in the forecast). Wind here can be challenging, since "mountain" lake wind can be quite gusty.
Again I'd recommend localsites.php. It's old but still accurate,
except for Rush lake which is dry currently. Read through that to get some idea of where to go and
what conditions are like there.

There is a pretty serious contingent of Utah WIndsurfers who spend most of their sailing time in the
Columbia River Gorge. Depending on how advanced you currently are (see the questions above),
you might want to join us up there for some excitement. If this seems like something you're
interested in PM me when you might be availble this summer to join us. I know most of the schedules.

If you have more direct questions get back to me here and I'll try and answer them.

-Craig
