7/30 Sulfur 6.5m 112L

Postby John Freed » Tue Jul 30, 2019 7:08 pm

Started slow... gust and slog... then full on gusts for a while yielding wound up rides... then a lull... you know... it's Sulfur. Patrick fired away on his 7.2m 102L board w/o an uphaul (which came back to haunt him). Pete Monaco on a 122L 6.5m got some good rides also... BUT about 4:15, boom... it shut off like someone pulled the rug out from under us, with all of us on the far side. We nursed a few rides, limping back, slowly but surely, as Pete and Patrick ended up swimming the last 100 yards. Not sure I've ever seen it shut down so fast. I'm going to make sure Patrick has an uphaul next time.
