The wind meters were not indicating much and the airport flags were barely flopping but as soon as I hit the cattle guard just south of Grantsville the wind hit. Mike E was already rigging his 5.6 and I followed him onto the lake with my 6.0. The wind was quite strong. Josh showed up and rigged his 5.9. I switched to the 86L for more control but didn’t last long before I went back to wild rides on the 112L. Josh went up to pack at 11:00 and I followed thinking it was done. But I saw some whitecaps and threw up my meter and it was reading +20. Jumped on the board and sailed lit until noon. Great morning. Classic Grants with poor wind everywhere else and Grants screaming. Water level holding steady, Hooray!

Sailing both the Gorge and Utah on my 8'2" HiTech and my 3 Starboards; Sonic 85L, S-Type 115L, and Carve 135L. Small quiver is Northwave, larger sails are Ezzy and Sailworks. Often in my white Odyssey but also in my wife's motor home.
