Wow... big day at Deer Creek. Josh, Ken and I arrived about 1:30, and as we don't trust DC, we rigged big (6.5 / 7.0 / 7.0), even though some big wind gusty wind lines were powering down the lake. Once on the lake we were flying! The gusts were wild, and shore to shore reaches totally wound up were common. As always there were a few lulls, but by DC standards, we were pretty fired up, which made for some very interesting wound up jibes. All in all, it turned out to be a fairly successful journey, especially since Ken didn't get hit by a boat. Interesting afternoon, as we watched the Midway brush fire getting bigger and bigger on every reach.
