Ken, Greg and I joined up at Grants for an opening season session... a funky session none the less. When we arrived, the wind was wildly gusty, and after much deliberation rigged 4.7's and 85L boards. After 2 or 3 reaches, the wind started to get really up and down, and eventually rigged a 5.8m and 112L board. Worked ok some of the time, however the wind started to veer westerly and we decided to bag it. Greg got most of the rides on a 2.9m and his 53" foil mast! In retrospect, we probably should have rigged 5.2m and 112L board and put up with the gusts and the lulls. Water 88 steps from the fence (need water!), fairly cold, but the sunny warm temps really helped! Surfs up!!!!!

Turns out you guys started the season the same day as Jimmie did at DC. Good job. Assume the ice is gone but water is OMG cold!
