Where to Ride 6/11-6/16

Welcome to the Forecast Forum.

Today looks rainy and cold (50 degrees ari temp). Still, if you have the appropriate technology,
a buddy system, a penchant for physical abuse, and a cavalier attitudet towards your own life,
there will be planable North wind. Rush looks strong to me, most of the day with 9M or better Kite conditions
in the now dangerously shallow water. It may snow out there also. Keep a weather eye out and be very careful.
UL launches will also have ample wind most of the day in the 5.5/9 range at Saratoga Springs, Lindon,
the Boat Harbor, and Lincoln. Probably not as strong as Rush , but nearly as cold and rainy.

Tomorrow looks like lighter North wind and warmer (60s). Maybe 15M Kite at Rush and a little less death
defying. UL North Launches should see planable conditions PM in the 7.5/15M range. Still looks like rain
for at least part of the day.

6/13 looks like a classic Lowe effect at Pineview, and warmer sunnier air so take your 7.5s or 15s up there.

6/14 Looks like a Deercreek kinda day with a classic 7.5 afternoon

6/15 looks like a lighter but still planable DC afternoon

6/16 looks windless, but you all know how likely it is to hit a forecast this far out.

I'll be in HR till 6/17. If I get access, I'll post updates, to the above.

Stay safe out there,

-Craig

Craig's Where to Ride 6/17

Postby Craig Goudie » Tue Jun 17, 2008 10:56 am

The Summer pattern is taking over. Grantsville still looks good for AM 6.5. Next best bet will
be Sulfur in the 6.5 range PM. Plus a bonus DC 2PM-4PM 7.5.

Tomorrow looks like identicle 6.5 at Grants, 6.5 at Sulfur PM, 7.5 at DC.

Thursday looks light.
