Check out the WindSki for more winter fun

Postby Sarah Ranes » Sat Feb 21, 2009 10:46 am

Hey all, don't be shocked but the is Linda posting. I have been interested in finding something besides snowkiting for
winter fun (take no offence kiters) and I have run across the windski. (http://www.windski.com) I have talked w/
Clive, the designer/owner, of windski design and am really thinking about getting one and want to know if anyone
else would be interested, if we could maybe talk him into coming down for a demo day. What do ya think?

So let's go out and have some more fun,

Linda

Linda, I knew of the windski for some time now. There is a big limitation on the range of things the ski could do. Without the fin, the normal things we do with our board is limited (jibbing and pressuring the fin, for example.) I think I have solved the problem and I will show the prototype of my snow sailing vessel to you once I finished the test run and revision. 8)

Leo, thanks for the reply. I would love to see what you have come up with. I have some pretty good ideas for a design, but you never know until you get to test it out. Is yours ready to sail? I'm just curious though. You said something about the skeg, and the windski does have some kind of skeg. Give me a call, when you get a minute, I would like to hear more. My cell is 801-467-7902 or Sarah @ 791-209=4315

I'm liking this thing... How about using it with a kite or a sail!?!? :))

It looks like the bindings are elevated and swivel... Might have something there.
