Where to Ride 1/14 - Wednesday

High Pressure overhead and diminishing NW winds are the call for today. Best bet for rides are high elevation ridgelines. Skyline may give up some big kite rides, same is true at Strawberry if you can access the high ridge lines. PowMow will have NW wind, but the riding area is very limited from that direction. Only lower elevation location with promise of wind is Evanston.

Tomorrow looks pretty dead and so does Thursday.

We might get lucky and see the NW winds increase a bit, but what we really need is a big storm to break up the high pressure ridge. Long range forecast is for the ridge to break up mid-week, next week. In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine in the high mountains and avoid the valley smog as much as you can.
