High pressure day means not a whole lot of wind. Best bets for riding are high elevation locations. You might get lucky at Skyline or PowMow on a big kite. You could scoot across the ice at Sulphur. Expect 8 - 10 at all locations. Skyline may crack into the teens.
Saturday Night a small cold front comes through boosting the wind speeds to the low teens at Skyline and PowMow. Strawberry might be rideable at the cabins on a big kite, but with the sparse coverage, Skyline is going to be a better bet.
Sunday looks like classic NW wind for Strawberry, Skyline, PC and possibly Rush. Evanston should blow as well.
I am a big sushi fan and SLC has some great restaurants. One of my favorites is Tsunami with two locations - one in Sugarhouse and another in Fort Union. According to their website there is a location in South Jordan, but I haven't been there yet. The Sugarhouse and Fort Union locations are equally good. The Fort Union location has more space and it is a bit easier to get a table there, but the parking is a pain. The great thing about Tsunami is that the kitchen is top-notch as well as the sushi, so you can take your non-sushi loving friends there and they will still leave happy. They have a great lunch menu and their bento box is the best in town IMHO. It is hard to go wrong, just about everything is wonderful, but I will tell you my favorites. The escolar sashimi is pricey, but it is divine. They make a great seaweed/smoked squid salad. Their simple dinner salad is perfect, the dressing is delicious and applied in just the right amount. They always cook their teriyaki salmon to perfection, it is a perfect medium. I like the lush roll and jenny roll. It is the kind of restaurant where I feel comfortable ordering sashimi, always fresh, never fishy. If you order sashimi, ask for their ponzu sauce that they make fresh each day, it has a bright citrous flavor that goes well with raw fish. They also seem to know what they are doing when it comes to their rice. I don't know why so many Japanese restaurants can't seem to get the rice cooked properly. It is not that hard. I have never had a bad bowl of rice at Tsunami. It can get really busy on weekends, a great time to give them a try is for lunch.
