Arrived at 9 AM to a capped up lake. Looked like 6ish but my windmeter said I had "lyin eyes". Wind was about 10-12 gusting to 14-16 mph. Rigged the 6.5, the biggest thing I brought. (I know bring everything) A little planing but mostly a slogger for me and was caught on the NE shore without wind for about 15 minutes. Finally walked it S, where I could swim it out and uphaul. Fortunately I made the W shore. Wind had pretty much died at 11:00 so I de-rigged. That was all it took to light up Troy Dubock (the only other sailor) on a 7.5 and a 131 L board. He got about 1/2 hr of solid planers and was still getting lots of rides when I left just before noon. Lake is beautiful, warm enough for a gorge suit and a shorty if you are Troy and don't fall in and within about 6-8' of fence at fence break. It is over about 2/3 of the road further S. Wind was insane. N at GV when I left, capping from the N on the Great SL at Lakepoint and howling from the S by the time I got to RW Road heading E.
