Not a bad day for the "day of the front" at Grants. Yes, it was gusty, and yes anything from a 5.8 to a 4.2 could have worked. Mike E on a 4.8 and me on a 5.2 got the early session, and I believe that was the best wind. Big 4.2 gusts keep you on edge, however only a few jibes ended in a wreck due to being over powered. George and Stone showed up and rigged a 4.7 and 4.2 (I think), and got some wild rides, but it seemed to be getting more and more up and down as the morning wore on. And the wind at times starting clocking more to the west, which resulting in some "relatively" long reaches for the little pond. Definitely a keeper!
