Figuring on rainy windless weather, I was pleasantly supprised (as were
several Surfrats) when the sun broke out and we were treated to fine
4.7 conditions at the Hackery with only our own tribesman for the first
hour (and only 4 more people the hour after that). For the 1st hour
it was just Jim Hornbeck, "The Rock Star" and I in our own little world
of clean swell and open river (except for that sneaky double barge).
Must have been similar to sailing there in 1982, but with modern gear.
What a rare and unlikley treat. Life is good.
