What a contrast to sailing small gear in the Gorge, the 9.0 feels like being hooked to a train. The wind kicked up enough for a great trek up to the Rainbow Bay boat launch and back in some pretty powered up conditions (for big gear anyway). It sure is nice to be able to rig on the grass now. It was kindof a traffic jam at lauch though. It's tough to get the big gear in and out there where it get's deep fast and there's lot's of gear, people and boats around. Lot's of DC regulars there, with everyone getting rides in the sun. We went back up Monday, arrived to slight caps, and then it died. No one got planners. It was sunny and warm though.
