9/10 Antelope Island 25M kite

Postby Kenny » Sun Sep 11, 2005 10:52 am

I woke up early and checked the local wind sites. I could see that the front was just entering Salt Lake City. I checked the windsite for Antelope Island and decided it would be worth checking out. Drove north through a light fog, wind was dead all the way through Layton, but as soon as I turned onto the causeway, there was the wind. Rode for 2 hours in steady, light wind. Wind picked up to 20 and it was too much for me on my 25. It was my first time riding Antelope Island and I was impressed. The water is flat in the beach area due to a couple small islands.
