It's late season and the Core Surfrats are (still) Gorged. Gunars,
Sharon, The Rock Star, Big Wave Dave, Sarah, and guest appearances
by Mani, and the Darkside Kite Rats (Vern, Marty, and Doug).
We ran into Mani at Doug's where he was riding a 7'6" snub nose Amigu
in 4.2 winds. 7'6", there's people that are that tall!

It was all good, but the stand out day was Friday 9/9 at Doug's.
where I had just rigged a 3.7 when Stuart pulled in. After he rigged
there were probably 8 of us total on the river, for several hours, and the
crowd might have pushed to 10 or 12 at it's peak. 4 Ft clean rolling grinders all over the river which stayed clean for the 8 hours we were there.
We sailed till sunset, (and a little bit beyond) riding swells way up the
river unhindered by the BAF crowd (which had apparently vacated after the
holiday). When was the last time you owned Doug's beach ;*)
Got a call that day from Gunars who was being blown off his 3.5 at
The Wall. Tempting, but 3.7 will do just fine, thank you very much ;*)
