Fri DC Sailboat Beach 7.5

Postby John Dubock » Fri Oct 07, 2005 7:59 pm

at 1pm it was 5.5 according to the early shift, DC Jim, Dave O and Eric Mumford. The afterschool pack took Goudie's advice literally, 7.5 was the call. Eric and Jim rigged up to have at least of shot of keeping up with Team Teen Dubock's slashing rides. It shut down at 530, water is still shorty weather. Looked like either Duane or Carl was sailing Island.

yep, the shorty was perfect today and the wind was generous all the way to island beach. it was filled in when i got there at 3:30. george ward was a riggin on the lawn and there was no one in sight so i assumed team dubock was at the dam, sho' nuff. me and gw sailed a while, pretty wound at times. beeyouteeful fall day. total of around 5 sailors and a kite. hit the road at 6 with the heater on just a teensy bit for luxury. btw j-bay looked good at 3:15 but no sails were seen. anyone get out and get that? park city Tim?.

I hit the water at IB at 1:55. Used an 8.5 and was fully wound up. So much so that after I worked up by Rainbow Bay that I had to come back downwind where it was wider and a little less windy. Super day. I wondered where eveyone was at. I sailed alone for the lst 2 hours until Carl & George showed up. They appeared fully wound up when I left at 5:00
