1/25 Pineview

The wind was only about 10mph in the narrows. Good enough for the beginners I had on my small 8m Nemesis and 7.5 Franzy. The surface on Pineview is perfect right now. It has 12 inches of ice topped with 7-8 inches of snow. The top 2-3 inches is super light powder. I will try again tomorrow winds may be too light (8-10 mph) but I have a new Turbo Diesel 10m to work with and it may be OK. At the least Saturday is predicted to be 18mph south winds and I will try for that after my avalanche class is over. For those of you who do go try it- the narrows by the dam is generally the windiest spot but with a south wind you may want to launch from the yacht club docks.
