DC 4/8

DC season opener for me and Team Bradshaw. The wind started about 11:30, spotty at first but had filled in pretty nicely by the time I got on the water at about 1. Big board/big sail (FF138/7.5) yielded about 75% planing. Prolonged lull shortly after Paul and Angee arrived, followed by the strongest, steadiest wind of the session. The lake is by no means full, but there is enough water to completely surround the Island. Surface water temp measured an exhilarating 47F, not as cold as I had expected. More of the same prediced for today!

See my album for graphs of windspeed/wind direction.
