Have you been to La Ventana Mexico this time of year?
Do you have any helpful tips you want to share?

Doubek worked down there for a couple winters and has been down many times. I'll see if he can give you some info.

I have been there many times... now is the time to go... so far they are having a very good season... usually 6 to 7 days on and 3 off. this year is 3 on and 1 or 2 off. If the wind shut down go to the west side and surf. do the down winder from El Sargento, Baja Joe's is always a classic place to stay.. Have fun and Don't drive at night...

I made the trip with Vern and Kyle.
We stayed as Baja Joe's.
Beach access and gear storage, with a great communal feel.
They have all different levels of rooms available, from bunks, hostel type, on up.
We've had 9 days of kiting, mostly 10M, with some pretty good swell.
Shortie is all that's needed this time of year.
I rented Axxis surfboards, new wave and pure wave, which were very fun.
With all the wind, we didn't really do any exploring, saving that for no wind days on a future trip.
