Danger Barbed wire at SSB

While kiting at SSB Tues evening I noticed a long stretch of barbed wire(5-6 feet) right below water surface far east of the main launch area and several hundred feet off shore. It was mostly visible when trough of a wave passed over it. Water is at approx 6 feet deep so not sure how to get rid of it with out a boat. I should have tried to get something to mark it with but just want to pass this along as a warning. It has probably been there for a long time but with extremely low water it is now partially exposed.
