Cloud 9 kites along with factory reps from Ozone will be hosting a kite nite every Tuesday this summer at the Point of the Mountain. Check out the press release below for more details. This will be the time for all the new and experienced kiters to come together and share the sport, please pass this along to anyone who may be interested.

KITE NIGHT !

FUN FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES
Come out and fly with the pro’s from Cloud 9 Kite shop and Ozone Kites. Free Family Fun!

What: Bring your own kites or try some of our’s. We will have everything from kids kites, to the latest in kite surfing, buggy riding, 2 line, 4 line, and even 5 line kites. Most nights we will have Buggy’s and land boards to try.

When: Every Tuesday night through out the spring, summer and fall. Kite flying begins after work, around 5:00 till dark. Call Cloud 9 to check if the wind is blowing, but on average we have wind 6 nights a week at the Point.

Where: Very important! We fly the OPPISITE side of the Point from where the Hang Gliders and Paragliders are flying. Normally they will be on the North Side in the PM, so we will fly on the South Side. We can NOT fly kites in the flight park if there are gliders in the air. Directions to the South side can be found at http://www.paragliders.com or call 801-576-6460. Take 1-15 to Exit 291, go east then make your first right onto the frontage road (Minuteman Dr.), go 2.5 miles south and look for the sign for “Point of the Mountain South Side Flight Park”. Turn left and follow the road to the top of the hill. This is a great open area to fly kites in smooth wind.

Need a kite? Stop by Cloud 9 Kite’s, we have a HUGE selection.
