Looking for a 128-132 board and your opinions

Postby ChrisPSherwin » Wed May 12, 2010 11:12 pm

Just busted my freak dog tracker 128 x 37 board. It had 5cm fins, tons of rocker and I loved it. I am looking to replace it with something that is durable, and that has similar characteristics. I used it on high wind days for jumping and wave riding. I think the large amount of rocker made it good in the waves? I have a cruiser pro for light wind days. I weigh about 170. Any thoughts?

Love my Underground 132. You should talk to Jon or Marty about the Slingshot boards.

Mr Guay must mean that Mr Manwarring,
can get you Slingshot boards for a great price,
I understand they have lowered their prices on this all of years boards.
He can get other brands also, at great discounts.

As far as suggestions, I CAN suggest a board for larger size
(146 Slingshot Misfit, for light wind Utah riding)

But the size you want is going to be such a personal feel,
I suggest you try everything you can, and then buy what you like.
Tons of good boards out there.
I have bought lots of boards over the years,
boards recommended by forums and friends.
But ended up with the boards I like by riding them before trying them.

Boards are such a personal feeling thing.

IMHO

I have a slingy sx 130 I was just getting ready to put up on e-bay. It rules as a little board but my lunacy 128 has pushed it to christys board, and she never rides it and says I need to sell it to pay for paraglider gear.... Let me know if you want to check it out. I have ridden it in surf massive chop at the gorge and all over UT it rips....

The guys at Freak Dog hooked me up with another (albeit larger) tracker, and I picked up a deck called the Freak Show for cheap as well. Billy, thanks for the offer to check out the board. I'll be back soon and take it for a ride if you have not sold it already.

Chris,
I see your problem has been solved.
But this seemed the best place to post this,
no affiliation.
Here is a great deal on Recoil 133,
this is my favorite flatter water short board at a killer price
with pads/straps.
Not the best for chop, but works, and is fast to plane up.
